Today I am so proud of America. Remember when Michele Obama said during the campaign that she was proud to be American for the first time, and she got so much flak? I really understand how she feels now, after election day is over and the dust has settled. Honestly I never thought much about whether I am proud to be American - I just am American. But today I am very proud of our country.
It has been a long time since I have been anything besides ambivalent about the leadership in Washington. Now I am so excited, and looking forward to what happens, and hoping that in some small way I can help.
